When the congregation at Liberty Baptist Church in Strasburg, VA. decided their growing youth population needed more room to worship and have fun, Pastor Keith Warren said they needed a project touched by the Lord.
One Sunday night, the whole church voted to expand. A few days later, Warren got an unexpected fax |
introducing him to pre-engineered steel buildings. “That's just the way God moves, I guess,” he said.
Liberty Baptist’s building was delivered in March 2004 and was erected that summer. Today, the multi-purpose building is used by the entire congregation and includes a stage, gymnasium, recreation room, kitchen and restrooms.
“After a lot of work, we've got this building looking just like we want it too," Warren said. "The kids love it!" |

Pastor Dennis Stoneman knew that his congregation at the First Baptist Church of Burley, ID, was quickly outgrowing its aging facility. Fortunately, he was able to find an aesthetically pleasing, cost-effective solution to the problem with a pre-engineered steel building.
Today, the First Baptist Church has a new larger home that was easy |
and fast to build. It even includes a 54-foot performance stage.
"Two other churches I know are looking at what we're doing and thinking about doing it themselves," Walton said. "I have no problem recommending it to others." |

It can be difficult for a small congregation, from a place like a rural part of Ohio, to buy an affordable structure for a new church. But thanks to one of his friends, Carlos Cooper was able to find something he liked with Worship Buildings.
“I remember that a pastor friend heard from someone in our |
organization about buildings at reduced prices. I think that’s how we found out. This was back in April 2005.”
Cooper chose a 32 X 60 X 12 building with 3 X 7 and 6 X 7 doors for his Southeastern Baptist Church. He found the whole process of buying a steel structure very easy.
“It was pretty much in line with what we were looking to spend and so we went with it.”
Cooper had volunteers help him put up the building. Even though they all had some background in construction, none of them had ever put up a steel building before. The volunteer builders were available to help Cooper for a short period of time only, so he had to take advantage of the help as much as he could. To make the process fast and easy, he coordinated with Worship Building’s Building Services Group.
“I spoke to Rick and Mitch a couple of times about the questions I had regarding putting up the structure. I had to have it within a certain time period because of volunteer builders and the time they had. Rick and Mitch were very helpful and patient and everything went fine; we’re just putting finishing touches on the interior right now. We were able to follow the blueprints well after running through things with them.”
“Overall, I was happy with how things worked out; and especially with getting the building within the range we were willing to spend.” |
